Paul Colmer is a forward thinking digital business leader with a passion for the practical application of disruptive technologies. As Lead Digital Architect at ALC Group, Paul has oversight and responsibility for ALC's training portfolio covering Cloud, Digital Architecture and New Ways of Working in the Lean Agile Enterprise (DevOps, SAFe).
Prior to ALC, Paul was Senior Principal Cloud Architect for DXC’s MyWorkStyle Digital Workplace, working with a range of clients from healthcare, mining, manufacturing, financial services and government to architect and delivery digital workplace IaaS, PaaS & SaaS services. CSC MyWorkStyle is a suite of corporate, digital workplace offerings architected to enhance end-user productivity, product innovation and team collaboration whilst integrating into hybrid cloud topologies.
In his role as Principal Architect Paul provided strategic direction, architectural governance, roadmaps and leadership in the development, delivery and continual innovation of the MyWorkStyle services for clients globally. Paul is an extensive user of TOGAF having applied it to every project at DXC, including defining the key artifacts for the MyWorkStyle solution in the Prelimary, Vision and Business Architecture phases. He also worked on the artifacts as a Solution Architect in the Information System and Technology Phases of TOGAF and had the role of Lead Architect in the Architectural Change Management phase.
Paul is the joint winner of the Citrix Partner Integration 2017 Awards for his DevOps automation work and is the winner of the Leading Edge Forum Grant for his research into 'Big Data' In-Memory Data Grid technologies, presenting at a number of conferences and venues around the world including Gartner ITExpo, CSC TechCom, HISA Big Data Conference, Griffith University, University of Queensland and QUT. His presentation on Driverless Cars was a big hit at the 2017 AISA Conference in Sydney.
Paul has served as a lead assessor for the BCS Chartered IT Professional certification. He is also Fellow of the British Computer Society, Fellow of the London College of Music, Queensland State Emergency Service (SES) Senior Volunteer and is an award winning Music Composer based in Brisbane, Australia.
Paul holds certifications in CCSP® Certified Cloud Security Professional, TOGAF® 9.2, DevOps, DevSecOps, Enterprise Big Data Professional® (EBDP), Scaled Agile® (SPC Safe Program Consultant) and Office 365.
