Chris is Principal Trainer, Cyber & Cloud, for the ALC Group and an ongoing contributor to the further development of ALC’s Cyber and Cloud security training and professional services throughout the APAC region.
Chris is a widely experienced and versatile network engineering and security professional, with a multi-discipline background. His broad and expansive career covers more than 30 years in IT, including banking and finance, accounting and auditing, EDP, software development, firewalls, anti-virus, backup and storage, cloud architecture and infrastructure, service delivery and business management.
Before joining ALC, Chris resided for 18 years in Seattle, Washington State, USA, including 6 years on the Microsoft campus, Redmond, for Computer Associates’ Storage Development of Arcserve backup software on the Windows platform. Working with CA’s many partners and corporate clients, Chris used his diverse talents in addressing client requirements in defence, state and federal departments and agencies, oil and gas, telcos, service providers and large corporations.
Chris is now based in Melbourne and is an active member of the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard and is a long time practitioner of Korean martial arts.
Chris holds certifications in CCSP, CSF+P, CISSP, CISM, DevOps Foundation, DevSecOps Foundation, COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, SAFe Agile and is an AWS Cloud Practitioner.
